Traditional Service | There is a road that leads from Ash Wednesday to Easter, and it is called Lent. It is the 40-day journey that enables us to enter into a deeper relationship with God as we remember the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf that ended at the cross on a hill called Calvary. It is a solemn and holy season, symbolized by the ashes that remind us of our own mortality and our need to deny ourselves and follow Him. Travel along this road demands something of us. It is only through prayer, confession, self-examination and sacrifice that we are able to arrive at that destination where we fully understand the hidden possibilities that lie dormant within each of us. The Scriptures remind us “from dust we came, and to dust we shall return.” Come, journey with us as we die unto our sins so we may celebrate the resurrection and the promise of eternal life with the One who died for us and gave Himself as a living sacrifice for all.
