On the Christian calendar the weeks leading up to Easter are set aside for a special focus and attention to the important questions we can miss in our hectic and busy lives: Who am I?Is that the person I want to be?What is my impact on the world around me?  This season, known as Lent, lasts for a period of 40 days, and begins with Ash Wednesday, which falls on February 18th this year. For many people, Ash Wednesday is a day associated with guilt, shame, and a rejection of humanity. But is that the only way to approach this day and this season? The good news is we can embrace the meaning and practices of Ash Wednesday and Lent, like repentance, while also affirming the goodness of humanity.
