    Gerard grew up as the youngest Son of 11 children on a farm in Canada. His active childhood lead to the study of health and fitness at college. Later, he studied sales and management in the health industry. In 1991, Gerard, along with his buddy and a push bike, travelled to Australia. Here he stayed to join the Australian health club of the year in ‘92 and doubled their turnover. After this he was invited to speak at the international fitness industry convention.
