Ashley Marie of BTR Shares How She Was Bold Tenacious and Resilient in the Face of Grief and How it Led to Delicious Whole Food Snack Bars

from Courageous Wellness · host Cloud10

Today on the podcast we have an incredible conversation with Ashley Marie, founder of BTR Bar. Ashley found inspiration in an unlikely place at an unlikely time: at the hospital cafeteria. When both of her parents were diagnosed with cancer, her life turned upside down as she became their caretaker, and her own nutrition began to suffer. Ashley was devouring protein bars when she could, as many of us do, to fit in a meal or a snack. Most of the bars, she quickly discovered, were filled with sugar. After her parents passed away, she founded a bar brand based on their family mantra: Be Bold, Tenacious and Resilient. B.T.R. Bars are adaptogen-packed protein bars with the cleanest label in the category. They are plant-powered, keto-approved, paleo-friendly and free of gluten/dairy/junk. Available in Cherry Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon Cookie Dough, and Dark Chocolate Brownie, each bar boasts adaptogens that take you from AM to PM and help you either stay sharp, chill out or provide a pick-me-up.  We have been lucky enough to try BTR and they are healthy, full of clean ingredients, and absolutely delicious. My personal favorite is the dark chocolate brownie! B.T.R. is on a mission to end mindless snacking with their protein bars with a purpose. With ingredients like Lion’s Mane, cordyceps + reishi mushrooms and MCT oil, they are tasty bars that you can feel good about. Ashley has a background in food science & nutrition, and we learned so much from her in this conversation. She shares her experience with overcoming her grief and starting a company.
