Asia Rose Simpson is the Philippines’ Hope for the Miss World 2026 Crown
from Voxcali · host Voxcali
18 year old Filipino American Asia Rose Simpson became the youngest Miss World Philippines, using her growing platform to advocate for youth wellness through sports and dance. At just 18 years old, Asia Rose Simpson had already earned one of the biggest pageant titles after being crowned Miss World Philippines in February 2026, but her journey into the spotlight began long before she ever won the crown. She was born in 2007 in the United States to a Filipino father and American mother in Hobbs, New Mexico. When she was six months old, her family moved to Roxas City in the Philippines where she spent most of her childhood before moving to Quezon City. Simpson’s father taught her how to dance when she was three years old and in 2016, their family made an appearance on Pilipinas Got Talent as an acrobatic act called The Simpson Tribe. Unfortunately, they did not advance after the second round, but this allowed the Simpson family to focus on the founding of the SED initiative which has helped around 7,000 individuals achieve mental wellness through dancing and sports. Simpson’s pageant career eventually brought her back to the United States. In 2023, she won Miss New Mexico Teen USA, leading her to represent the state at Miss Teen USA. While she did not place in the competition, she did receive the Miss Congeniality award, voted on by her fellow contestants. Three years later in 2026, Simpson returned to the Philippines and represented Quezon City at Miss World Philippines, quickly becoming a competition stand out. She won the Talent Challenge, Beauty with a Purpose Challenge, Best in Swimsuit and also received the Dr. Toledo Cosmetics Ambassador Award. But Simpson’s most significant accomplishment happened off the pageant stage through her role in her SED initiative. The program uses sports and dance to promote physical, mental, and emotional wellness and this project is what earned Simpson the Beauty with a Purpose award. Her advocacy for the SED initiative became an important part of her winning answer at Miss World Philippines. By the end of the competition, Simpson was crowned Miss World Philippines 2026, making her one of the youngest women to take on the national title. And now, she is currently representing the Philippines at Miss World 2026 in Vietnam, along with over 100 other national representatives. On August 21, Simpson advanced into the Top 60 of the Miss World Top Model competition and the Top Model final is scheduled for August 28 and the Miss World finale will follow in September. Most 18 year olds are only beginning to figure out what they wanna do, but Simpson has already built a career around pageantry and youth advocacy. Whether or not she ultimately takes home the Miss World crown, her journey representing the Philippines has already made her a name to watch.
