"The Harpers Ferry Cowards"/"The Harpers Ferry Brigade" and "band box soldiers." Willard's Brigade was the 3rd Brigade,3rd Division, II Corps, Army of the Potomac. They took part in stopping the advance of Barksdales Brigade on July 2 as well as helped to repulse the Longstreet's Assault on July 3.
