Ask and You Shall Receive

In this heartfelt message, Pastor Tommy Boring shares the powerful truth that salvation is as simple as responding to the call of God. Drawing from Luke 11:9-13, he explores Christ’s promise: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” Reflecting on the overwhelming love of the Father, Pastor Tommy describes the joy and assurance that comes from knowing God personally. He reminds listeners that prayer is never wasted when directed to the living God, who hears, answers, and works in ways beyond human ability. Through the power of the Holy Spirit and the truth of God’s Word, hearts are awakened to the reality of eternity and the need for salvation. Throughout the sermon, he shares his personal testimony of being saved as a young boy when the Holy Ghost revealed his lost condition and drew him to Christ. Salvation was not earned through good works, religious knowledge, or personal merit. It came through a simple response of faith. He asked, and God answered. Using examples such as Zacchaeus climbing the sycamore tree to see Jesus, Pastor Tommy emphasizes that every person must make a personal decision when Christ comes calling. God does not force Himself into anyone’s life. He stands at the door and knocks, offering forgiveness, hope, peace, and eternal life to those who will open the door and receive Him. The message serves as a reminder that salvation is available to everyone, regardless of background, age, or past mistakes. Jesus has already done everything necessary through His death, burial, and resurrection. The question is not whether God is willing to save, but whether we are willing to respond. If God is speaking to your heart today, don’t delay. Tomorrow is not promised. The invitation remains the same: Ask and you shall receive.
