Savernake Forest is a forest of nearly 2000 hectares (4500 acres), not far from Marlborough in Wiltshire.  Der Wald ist Privatbesitz, hat aber Zugang für die Öffentlichkeit. The forest is privately owned but also open to the public.  Es ist der einzige private Wald Großbritanniens. It’s Britain‘s only privately owned forest.  Savernake Forest ist ein ‚uralter Wald‘, denn es gibt ihn schon seit 934.
