Die Stadt wurde im 12. Jahrhundert gegründet. The city was founded in the 12th century. Die Bächle sind flach gepflasterte Rinnen, die die Menschen mit Wasser versorgt haben. The miniature streams are flat cobbled gutters, which supplied people with water. Freiburgs Wahrzeichen ist die Lange Rote. Freiburg's landmark is the Long Red. Die Lange Rote ist eine 35cm lange rote Rostbratwurst. The Long Red is a 35cm long red grilled sausage. Das Hotel ‘Zum Roten Bären‘ ist das älteste Gasthaus Deutschlands. The hotel ‘Zum Roten Bären‘ ist the oldest guesthouse in Germany.
