Görlitz is a popular film shooting location, which is why it's also called "Görliwood". ‘Inglourious Basterds’ und ‘Der Vorleser’ wurden dort z.B. gedreht. ‘Inglourious Basterds’ and ‘The Reader’ were filmed there for example. Von 1995 bis 2016 bekam Görlitz jedes Jahr eine anonyme Spende von einer halben Million Euro. From 1995 to 2016, Görlitz received an anonymous donation of half a million euros every year.
