Ask Dr. Applewhite About Disability and Depression at School and Work

from Ask Dr. Applewhite

Can you share an explanation of why mental disorders and suicides have increased among Student Veterans and other Adult Learners? Most critical is how teachers at all levels are identifying and addressing violent and aggressive behavior, mood disorders, and suicidal tendencies. The American Psychological Association states that “untreated depression can lead to suicide”.  This is cause for alarm, specifically with Student Veterans who are balancing disability issues, in addition to family, school, and work schedules. Special Guest Dr. Beverly Poellnitz, Educator, Entrepreneur. Your donation of at least $5 or more will support our radio broadcasts, and allow us to continue helping Adult Learners/Students and Veterans with disabilities reach their education and workforce goals?
