Ask for the Responsibility Before the Recognition

A lot of people want the title before they want the weight that comes with it. They want the recognition. The authority. The promotion. The credit. But the better question is whether you are willing to carry the responsibility first. Take ownership before anyone asks. Solve the problem that technically belongs to someone else. Learn the skill before the position requires it. Become dependable before there is a reward attached to being dependable. Recognition is often delayed. Responsibility usually shows up first. And that is the part that reveals whether you actually want the role—or just what comes with being seen in it. Do the work before the applause. Carry the weight before the title. Let your capacity become obvious before you ask people to acknowledge it. If you want more responsibility later, prove you can handle more responsibility now. Ask for the responsibility before the recognition. #PersonalGrowth #Leadership #Responsibility #Accountability #SelfImprovement #ProfessionalDevelopment #GrowthMindset #Discipline #WorkEthic #Ownership #CareerGrowth #Mindset #PersonalDevelopment #LeadershipDevelopment #LifeLessons
