Ask the Attorney: Seizing a plane for carrying a six-pack of beer

The Supreme Court will take up a case in the next term dealing with excessive fines. At the heart of the issue is this question: should transporting a six-pack of beer to a dry county via plane... result in the seizure of the plane? We know many of our listeners might not drink beer -- that's not entirely the point of this case. But it does bring up some really interesting questions about unreasonable seizures and fines.
