ASRH_Episode_7: "Man-i-klepto": Humanity: the Criminal Species
from Assembly of Silence · host Noah Antony Widoff
Judah is AWOL and Noah is left to his own devices. With the aim of producing a extra special festive holiday edition scuttled by time constraints he reaches into the archives and pulls out a most bizarre and disturbing piece of audio art for your consideration. A perfect fit for the end of an extremely bizarre and disturbing year. Humanity is said to have stolen fire from the gods. This first act of thievery sets the path we've walked ever since. What is criminality and why do we romanticize it so ardently in our entertainments? There's a lot of tension between the rules necessary for social cohesion and the adaptive requirement that we continually be changing - breaking our rules so as to remain competitive and relevant to changing circumstance. This piece explores these issues in a radio art format. Man-i-klepto was produced in 2006 by request of Maximillian Goldfarb.
