from Let's Get Dressed

Assemblymember Sydney Kamlager represents the 54th Assembly District of California, encompassing Baldwin Hills, the Crenshaw community, all of Culver City, Ladera Heights, Leimert Park, Mar Vista, Mid-City Los Angeles, Palms, Pico-Union, Westwood and Windsor Hills. In this episode, Assemblymember Kamlager gives us a lesson on what it really means to defund the police, her thoughts on policy reform and The Justice in Policing Act of 2020, and why she believes bills like The C.R.I.S.E.S Act is the answer to taking power away from police and back in the hands of our communities.   Senator Holly Mitchell: (213) 745-6656 Assemblymember Phil Ting: (415) 557-2312  AB2054 Bill Information: http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=201920200AB2054 Support the C.R.I.S.E.S Act in California here! https://allianceforbmoc.org/crises-act Produced by Dear MediaLet’s Get DressedYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@livvperezInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/letsgetdressedpod/Newsletter: https://substack.com/@livvperezLiv Perez Instagram: www.instagram.com/livvperezTikTok: www.tiktok.com/livv.perezShopMy: https://shopmy.us/livvperez Hosted on Acast. Wounded Warriors of the Cross Gary Pastoral and clergy mental health is a mostly ignored area, especially by those who live their lives as pastors in the clergy. The stigma of mental health within those who serve in the shadow of the cross is something that invokes the stigma of fear. Many of those in the clergy will choose to suffer in their despair rather than reaching out for help. Sometimes those suffering choose to wait until it's too late to get the real help that they need. At Wounded Warriors of the Cross our mission is to lift the stigma and the veil of silence that encompasses clergy mental health and assist those who suffer in silence. Wounded Warriors of the Cross is here to shed the light of Christ's love into those dark places.
