We examine the assessment of the Church in Thyatira by recognising that, despite the Lord's positive report of them, a significant problem existed. The problem was the teaching by a woman, which manifested in a strange lifestyle by some of the congregants and leaders. Thus, we note that the doctrine promoted within a church is reflected in the lifestyle of its congregants. This is a public episode.
