Astral Travel and Beyond (with Athena Laz)

from A Psychic's Story

You asked, we answered! Athena Laz is back to talk about astral travel and out-of-body experiences (also referred to as OBEs or OOBEs). The main reason most people astral project or intentionally have OBEs is to maintain and expand their awareness and consciousness. In this episode, Athena shares her tips on how to do this, which include getting into a relaxed state of being, setting an intention and asking for clarity. We also dispel myths and misconceptions related to astral travel and OBEs. Books mentioned in this episode include: Mysteries of the Unknown: Psychic Voyages by Time-Life Books. (There are still some copies for sale online if you do a search.) The book lists tips to astral travel from Robert Monroe, who became known for his research into altered consciousness and founded The Monroe Institute. For those attempting OBEs, he suggests the following: Loosen your clothing and remove any jewelry.  In a quiet and dark room, lie in a comfortable position with your head pointing North.  Relax your mind and body.  Close your eyes and breathe rhythmically, keeping your mouth slightly open. Focus on a single image as you drift toward sleep.  When you reach the state bordering wakefulness and sleep, deepen your relaxation by concentrating on the blackness beyond your eyelids. Focus on a point 12 inches from your forehead. Gradually extend the point of focus to a distance of 6 feet and draw an imaginary line parallel to your body. Focusing on that plane, imagine vibrations and bring them down to your head.  Gain control of the vibrations by guiding them through your body – from your head to your toes and back again. Once they can be produced on mental command, you are ready to attempt separation from the body.  To leave the body, concentrate on how pleasant it would be to float upward. Maintain these thoughts and your astral form should begin to rise.  To return to the physical self, simply focus on reengaging the two forms.  The Secret of the Soul: Using Out-of-Body Experiences to Understand Our True Nature by William Buhlman. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
