At The Dawn

"Taking care of our planet starts with taking care of yourself" Big Love 💙 At the dawn, life's whisper grew silent The empty echo of absence rang so defiant Our Earth, marked by time's scrawl Weary from bearing the years, standing tall Careless men tore her apart, no relent Her pain, like an old soul's lament Tired, refusing to always bend After all, weren't we just guests in the end? With one last surge of might She took back the night Guiding our fate in a dance so transient Making us shadows, mere fragments It began with a heat so immense She ignited, boiling with recompense Balances wavered, panic did unfold Technology failed, our screens went cold But it was us, after all Destined for oblivion, answering the call Far from the ceaseless ebb and flow Where you stand Where you've been and where you go Paths are drawn From season to season's glow A shadow threatens from below Vanishing at the horizon's throw Where time comes to a stand Where my heart holds like sand Moments fade, drowned in yesterday My life, fleeting, seems to sway The scars of my tale Slowly begin to pale
