I am a family doctor and I work in a clinic. בבוקר אני מגיעה לעבודה ורואה את רשימת המטופלים של היום. In the morning I arrive at work and see the list of patients for the day. יש לי היום ילדים, מבוגרים וגם אנשים מבוגרים מאוד. Today I have children, adults, and also elderly patients. כל אחד מגיע עם בעיה אחרת. Each one comes with a different problem. הבוקר קיבלתי מטופל מבוגר שהתלונן על כאבי גרון חזקים וחום גבוה. This morning I saw an adult patient who complained of strong sore throat and high fever. בדקתי אותו: הסתכלתי על הגרון שלו, הקשבתי לריאות שלו ומדדתי חום ולחץ דם. I examined him: I looked at his throat, listened to his lungs, and measured temperature and blood pressure. על פי הבדיקה חשבתי שיכול להיות שמדובר בזיהום. Based on the examination, I thought it might be an infection. נתתי לו הפניה לבדיקות דם ובדיקת שתן. I gave him a referral for blood tests and a urine test. בינתיים נתתי לו מרשם לאנטיביוטיקה. In the meantime, I gave him a prescription for antibiotics. הסברתי לו איך לקחת את התרופה וכמה ימים להמשיך טיפול.
