Paul says we live in a moment when the institutions most needed to tackle our global problems are dissolving into uncertainty. That uncertainty tempts us into focusing on what is lost - but we know better. The proper task is to consider how to shape what will emerge in its place.  Like it or not, we are recreating ourselves into a new planetary civilization.
