In this unique edition of the Burning Eden Podcast, we are joined by one of the 5 only listeners of this podcast..... and he wants to remain anonymous to avoid association with us. Well, shit. We'll call him Steve. Steve agrees to share his personal story about being a closeted atheist who does not feel he can express his beliefs (or lack thereof) with his immediate family and in his professional life. Steve brings a different perspective to being a nonbeliever, reminding us that not all of us have the same privilege of being vocal about our beliefs, or lack thereof. We also discuss social stigma, fear of rejection, ostracism, and backlash.
