Atlanta's Longest Running Jazz Jam | Atlanta News
from Atlanta News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
Every Wednesday night, Atlanta’s longest-running jazz jam comes alive at the Red Light Cafe, hosted by the Gordon Vernick Quartet. Led by Dr. Gordon Vernick — trumpet virtuoso and director of GSU’s Jazztet — the night opens with classic tunes, then invites ANY musician or singer to take the stage, no matter their experience. It’s a community-powered celebration of live jazz, welcoming students, pros, and curious listeners alike. Doors open at 8 PM, music starts at 9 PM, with a $10 cover (just $5 for performers or students). If you’re in town, this is your ticket to authentic, collaborative jazz magic.
