Atonement: Its Function & How It Impacts Salvation

*As heard on WTTR "Celebrating the Word of Reconciliation & Songs of Grace! Listen to the ALL NEW WTTR Digital Radio Station: "Celebrating The Word of Reconciliation & Songs of Grace!" Some have taken it upon themselves to redefine bible words in order to better fit their personal beliefs. This is dangerous and only causes confusion. Limited Forgivers are doing this with words like atonement, forgiveness, righteousness, justification, and reconciliation. This is Truth Time Radio, and without the assistance of man made schools of thought, books, or dictionaries, we intend to set the record straight by allowing each of these words to define themselves by the parameter of *context* whereby they were written. Today, we begin by examining the word "atonement." Scripture references for this study: Exodus 29 Numbers 15:28 Exodus 30:10-16 Leviticus 16 Hebrews 10:4 Isaiah 1:11 Romans 5:11 1 Corinthians 15:1 & 3 Acts 26:18 2 Corinthians 5:20 1 Timothy 2:6 Colossians 1:21 Hebrews 10:18 & 27 Hebrews 6:4-6 2 Corinthians 5:19 Stay tuned, we're going to go into great detail about the forgiveness that is automatically brought about through the Atonement. That will be coming up on our next podcast. This is just the beginning of a series of installments that we hope will help you to come to a better understanding of what the Word of God is telling us regarding the components of salvation unto eternal life. We are going to isolate these terms, and explain the concepts of each, according to scripture. Download our new app!
