She was active participant in meetings with state officials regarding the Reparations Study.*Hayward Evans, co convener, Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration/Continuation Committee (MLKCC) was one of the leaders in lobbying for the passage of House Bill 1918 sponsored by Representative Sharon Tomiko Santos, the bill created the Central District Community Preservation & Development Authority (CDCPDA) aka the McKinney Center for Community & Economic Development.
