Atum (Egyptian god)

* Atum was first important as a god in Heliopolis, Lower Egypt. * Atum was sometimes depicted as the black bull Mnewer, who bore the sun disk between its horns. * Atum was considered the “father of the gods.” * Atum is assumed to be the first god and has created himself. The earliest record of Atum is in the pyramid text, which the pyramid text can be dated to around 2613-2181 B.C. (keep in mind this is before the first mention of the Anuna around 2144-2124 B.C.)
