Rwanda's President Paul Kagame says the decision to adopt a new funding formula for the African Union Commission is a major step toward ensuring that the continent is self-reliant and able to fund its own investment and peace keeping initiatives. African leaders meeting at the Rwandan capital Kigali have agreed to raise about 1-point-2 Billion US dollars a year to fund the AU Commission. President Jacob Zuma is amongst leaders attending the mid-year gathering of the 54 member continental body. Presidential Correspondent Tshepo Ikaneng is in Kigali and has filed this report..
