Auburn’s Defense Woke Up — Big Hits, Bigger Talk, Now Back It Up Part 5 I Auburn Football Podcast
from The Auburn Express · host The War Rapport || Mike G • B Wil • Ike Jones • C-Dub
Auburn defense swagger back. That is the energy I have been begging to see, and it finally felt real. I love a confident group as long as they back it up. You remember that moment when a DB told his quarterback to get ready because he was about to go take the ball back? That is the mentality this defense needs. No pouting after a turnover. No moping. Go make a play, hand your QB the rock, and tell him to cook. Demarcus Riddick delivered that tone in the first half when he crushed Michael Trigg on a wham block and let him know about it. That is the vibe I want from the entire room. Champ Anthony finishing plays with a little extra shoulder after the whistle is what I want to see more of too. The rotation at DB is not the issue. Tackling and communication have to tighten up, and when they do, this group has the depth to wear teams down in the fourth. When Auburn gets to mid October with legs under them because of smart rotations, you will see the payoff. I am high on the wideouts hitting a hundred plus, Jackson Arnold stacking all purpose yards, and young guys like Keldrick Faulk having juice late because the staff spreads snaps. Prediction time got spicy. There is a path to drop sixty on Ball State if the execution is clean and the twos and threes stay hungry. The goal is simple. Play with swagger, finish tackles, communicate clean, and let the scoreboard tell the story. Hit that like button, subscribe, and drop your own predictions below. Learn more about your ad choices.
