They have spent 12 weeks researching an aspect of Auckland’s history through the support of the Auckland History Initiative, under the co-supervision of Professor Linda Bryder and Dr. Jessica Parr. Brooke Stevens was the recipient of a Jonathan and Mary Mason Scholarship in Auckland history at the University of Auckland. Her project considers the role and contribution of women to Auckland’s political scene from the late 1930s and 1940s.
