Audio blog: Colombia — a system failure

#Colombia's under-pressure President Iván Duque could put his unpopularity to the only test that matters by calling an election — if the country had a parliamentary system in place that is. As things stand, the Colombian electorate won't get to have its say on  Duque's presidency until 2022 — and he won't even be on the ballot paper as incumbents are once again prohibited to run for a second term. That being so, it remains to be seen how much reform he and his administration are willing to contemplate as the country continues to experience disruptive protests.
