Last year in the run up to the 70th anniversary of D-Day, Sergeant (Retd) Bernard Morgan visited Bletchley Park. He met one of his modern equivalents, Flight Lieutenant Vikki Thorpe. He told us about his work on the British Type X machine and about D-Day and beyond. Then, now sadly passed, Bletchley Park original trustee Peter Wescombe was on hand to reunite Bernard with “The Beast” Remember 71 years ago Bernard and over 150,000 others were waiting for dawn.
