Auditor General on Homeless and Indigenous Emergeny Services

Auditor General Karen Hogan speaks with reporters in Ottawa following the tabling of her latest reports to the House of Commons. Her office's four performance audit reports looks at chronic homelessness, Arctic waters surveillance, the cybersecurity of Canadians' personal information in the cloud, and emergency management in First Nations communities. She also discusses the results of the special examinations of the following three Crown corporations: Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Inc., the CBC, and the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority. The seven recommendations outlined in the report for Indigenous Services Canada highlight important and critical gaps that must be addressed, both in responding to emergencies and preparing for them.
