Dr. Georgette Grier-Key of Eastville Community Historical Society joins Heart of The East End Gianna Volpe on WLIW-FM ahead of upcoming events kicking off on Amistad Day, August 26, with attendees asked to wear all-white for the 4 p.m. celebration at Culloden Point, a Montauk Library community workshop at 4 p.m. on Aug. 27, evening of celebration at Montauk Playhouse starting at 6 p.m. on Aug. 28 and a Saturday afternoon “Making The Connection: Amistad” film screening and panel at the Montauk Library at Montauk Library from noon to 5 p.m. on Aug. 29. Later in the hour, Boots on The Ground Theater’s founder—and director of incoming production “A Colonial Christmas” at the Southampton Cultural Center—Bonnie Grice, calls in amidst local troupe’s 10th anniversary year and just before auditions at SCC for their new show on Aug. 16 and 17.
