Audience of One — 1 Corinthians 3:18–4:17 Who are you living for—the applause of people, or the approval of God? The Corinthians longed for prestige, craving wisdom, power, and recognition from the world. But Paul reminds them (and us) that true freedom comes when we stop performing for human approval and live for the verdict of Christ alone.In this message, we’ll see how:Believers already have everything in Christ, freeing us from the need for worldly applauseOnly one verdict matters—the Lord’s, and His standard is faithfulnessA life lived for God’s approval frees us from pride and empowers us to embrace weakness, suffering, and humility as part of the message of the crossBecause if we have Christ, we have everything.
