The gathered church experiences persecution for the gospel (vv. 1-3).II. The scattered church extends the proclamation of the gospel (vv. 4-25).    a. Humility – New location, but the servants are still opportunistic to serve (vv. 4-8, 12).    b. Humbled – The Samaritans receive true salvation and power which comes from the Jew’s Christ (vv. 9-17, John 4:16-26).    c. Pride – New location, but the same insidious pride crouches at the door (vv. 18-25).
