August 18 – Don’t Doubt, Only Believe

In today’s episode, Pastor Robert Rosales shares a devotion from John 20:27–29 and Jesus’ encounter with Thomas after the resurrection. Thomas had refused to believe the other disciples’ testimony unless he could personally see and touch the wounds of Jesus. Yet rather than rejecting Thomas because of his doubt, Jesus met him exactly where he was, offering the very evidence Thomas had asked for while challenging him to move from skepticism to trust. Pastor Robert explains that biblical belief is more than intellectually agreeing with certain facts—it is actively placing our confidence in Jesus as our risen Lord. Jesus then points beyond Thomas to those who would come after him, declaring that those who have not seen and yet believe are blessed. This challenges us to consider the areas of our own lives where doubt may be creeping into what God has spoken. Whether we are trusting Him with our families, finances, healing, calling, or future, we can choose to push back against doubt and continue placing our confidence in Him.
