P: We come to praise the Lord, who sees our acts of love and kindness. L: In Joppa lived a woman named Tabitha, whose hands were full of good works and acts of charity. P: Christ calls us also to use our hands to bless the poor and lift the heavy burden. L: When sorrow came, and death laid its cold hand upon her, Peter knelt and prayed, “Tabitha, get up.” P: By the power of Jesus Christ, the grave was conquered, and she opened her eyes. L: Our God is still the God of resurrection, turning our mourning into dancing. P: Let us rise and serve the living God with joy and thankful hearts.
