Shen (University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill) discusses the trajectory of brain development in infants at risk for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and fragile X syndrome.  Longitudinal imaging was captured from 6 to 24 months to see how brain development differed between groups, and the development of the amygdala in infants at risk for ASD prior to onset of social deficits and clinical diagnosis.
