August 22nd: Be the Kid Who Includes Others | Kids Devotional Carpooling with Jesus

Hey Carpool Crew! 🚗 Whether you’re buckled up in the car or getting ready for homeschool, I’m Pastor Justin — and I’m so glad you’re here. Here’s something you might not always think about: Jesus notices the kid sitting alone. The one at recess who never gets picked, the one eating lunch by themselves, the one on the edge of the group but never really in it. And guess what? Jesus wants us to notice them too. Our verse today is Romans 12:16 (CSB): 👉 “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud. Instead, associate with the humble.” That means don’t think you’re too cool to be kind. Don’t just stick with your group and ignore everyone else. Living in harmony means everyone belongs. 💡 In this episode, you’ll learn: Why including others shows the love of Jesus. How the Apostle Paul’s words to the Romans still matter for kids today. Simple, brave ways to include someone who feels left out: Notice who’s alone — at recess, lunch, or in class. Start small — a “Hey, wanna sit here?” can make a huge difference. Be brave and kind — even if it feels awkward or your friends question it. When you invite someone in, you may not change their whole life — but you will change their day.
