August 24: ST. BARTHOLOMEW: Jesus Knew His Name

Before they ever met, Jesus already knew Bartholomew's heart — and told him so under a fig tree. St. Bartholomew was skeptical when his friend Philip told him they'd found the Messiah — until Jesus spoke first, revealing that He'd already seen Bartholomew before Philip ever called him. Bartholomew became one of the Twelve Apostles and carried the Gospel as far as Armenia, where he was martyred for refusing to deny what he'd witnessed. "Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is no deceit." ⭐Today's challenge is just the start.
