August 29th: Joy That Doesn’t Melt Like Ice Cream | Kids Devotional Carpooling with Jesus

Let’s talk about something sweet… ice cream. 🍦 It’s awesome, but there’s one problem: it melts. One second everything’s fine, and the next—drip, drip, drip—it’s gone! That’s kind of like happiness. It feels good, but it doesn’t always last. But Jesus offers something better than happiness—He gives us joy. Joy that doesn’t melt. Joy that sticks with you even when life gets hard. In John 15:11, Jesus says: 👉 “I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.” And the best part? He said this right before going to the cross. It wasn’t a fun day—He was in a garden, preparing for something really difficult. But even then, He talked about joy. 💡 In this episode, kids will learn: The difference between happiness and true joy. Why Jesus’ joy doesn’t fade—no matter what’s going on. Real ways to stay close to Jesus and grow joy every day: Start your day with Him—you’re already doing it with this podcast! Talk to Him when life feels hard—a simple prayer can invite His joy in. Practice thankfulness—on both good and tough days. Jesus wants more than just smiles when life is easy.
