Raj Ananthanpillai – Founder & CEO of Trua and Author of The Trust Crisis: How Big Tech Stole Your Identity—and the New Model That Takes It Back AI has exacerbated and amplified the situation. Because you have no idea who is a real human being anymore. Raj Ananthanpillai is a serial entrepreneur, inventor, investor, and recognized authority on digital trust, identity verification, cybersecurity, and data privacy. He is the founder and CEO of Trua, a technology company developing reusable, privacy focused digital trust credentials. Trua’s technology enables individuals to verify their identities, backgrounds, and qualifications while maintaining greater control over their personal information, helping organizations establish trust without repeatedly collecting and storing sensitive data. Throughout his career, Raj has founded and scaled several technology companies serving federal agencies, Fortune 500 businesses, and global organizations. He previously founded Endera, now a subsidiary of Trua, and spent 13 years leading InfoZen, a risk management and digital credential solutions company acquired by ManTech International in 2017. Under his leadership, InfoZen supported major government identity and security initiatives, including work connected to the trusted traveler program that became TSA PreCheck and risk assessment systems for transportation workers. Earlier in his career, he founded NetBalance, which was acquired in 2000. Raj is the author of The Trust Crisis: How Big Tech Stole Your Identity and the New Model That Takes It Back, published by Forbes Books. In the book, he examines how widespread data collection, identity theft, data breaches, and artificial intelligence are weakening trust in the digital economy. He proposes a new approach based on reusable, consumer controlled trust credentials that allow people to prove who they are without unnecessarily surrendering their personal information. Raj holds master’s degrees in Engineering Physics and Electrical Engineering, is named on multiple U.S. patents, and serves organizations supporting the arts, engineering education, American history, and civic education.
