August 8 – The Good Shepherd

In today’s episode, Pastor Cory Barnes shares a devotion from John 10, where Jesus makes two powerful declarations about Himself: “I am the door of the sheep” and “I am the good shepherd.” Jesus is both the way into the flock of God and the Shepherd who faithfully leads, protects, and cares for those who belong to Him. Pastor Cory reminds listeners that this offers tremendous comfort in a world filled with competing voices and deceptive teaching. We do not have to live in fear of being led astray when we remain connected to Jesus, learn His voice, and actively follow His leading. Even when we wander or make mistakes, Jesus is a better Shepherd than we are sheep. He patiently pursues us, redirects us, and leads us back onto the path of life. If we recognize that we have wandered, our response is simply to repent, turn around, and begin following Him again. We can confidently trust that the Good Shepherd knows exactly where He is leading us, will protect us along the way, and will never abandon the sheep He gave His life to save.Today's Reading:August 8 – Jeremiah 51; John 10
