In 2012, just after the first Formula 1 race at Circuit of The Americas, we had the pleasure of speaking with then Texas Comptroller Susan Combs. We spoke about the decision to bring this innovative, purpose-built Formula 1 circuit to Austin, and how it would benefit the city both culturally and financially. Today, after the announcement that the Texas State Government will reduce its annual contribution to COTA, this message from Susan Combs is still relevant.
