Australia: Interview with Sally McManus, Secretary of the Australian Council of Trade Unions

The lowest gender pay gap ever recorded.  Food delivery workers winning new workplace protections and a new minimum hourly rate of pay, above the minimum wage.  Workers winning a 'right to disconnect' -- meaning that their employers cannot force them to be available after working hours.  New paid leave in cases of domestic abuse.  And the union movement beginning to grow again.This is the legacy of Sally McManus, now stepping down as Secretary of the Australian Council of Trade Unions after nine years on the job.  (Sally is the longest serving ACTU secretary in the last century.)
