Australia recognises Palestinian state at the UN

The declaration was made by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Foreign Minister Penny Wong outside the United Nations headquarters in New York City, with the government saying it comes as part of a push for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a warning to the countries, while saying he aims to ensure there will never be a Palestinian state.
