Australian pilots complete first July Antarctic rescue

Australian pilots Louise Robertson and her husband Rod successfully completed the first-ever July rescue mission in Antarctica, flying in total darkness and temperatures of minus 43 degrees Celsius to McMurdo base. The Melbourne-based husband and wife crew operated at near the aircraft's limit of minus 45 degrees to evacuate an American patient.
