Australian Uranium Fuelled Fukushima - 10 years on

from Radioactive Show · host Dr Philip White and Kirsten Blair

On this show, we hear a detailed description of how the disaster unfolded by Dr Philip White, who is an expert in Japanese nuclear power policy and was living in Tokyo at the time of the disaster. In the second part of the show we hear from Kirsten Blair, a non-Indigenous woman who works as media officer for the Gundjeihmi Aboriginal Corporation, which represents the rights of Mirrar people. She speaks about the MIrrar connection to the disaster in Fukushima, which was fuelled by uranium mined in Australia, including from Mirrar land. These recordings are from a webinar hosted by the ACE Nuclear Free Collective on March 9th, which you can watch in full here: https://youtu.be/bdpX7pO0ESE
