Valerie Khoo knows too well this feeling as she continually conquers new facets in her career. Valerie Khoo is an artist, designer and writer. For the past 15 years, she has been CEO of the Australian Writers’ Centre, the country’s leading centre for writing courses. She continues in this role, leading a team of presenters who have taught more than 50,000 students across Australia. More recently, Valerie pursued her passion for art and design. Her original art has been featured in group and solo exhibitions, shortlisted for art prizes and is now licensed by companies all over the world. It appears on wallpaper, textiles, décor, products and wall art. Valerie was also appointed the City of Sydney’s Curator of the Sydney Lunar Festival for 2019 and 2020, an arts and culture festival that attracts almost 1.5 million people and is the third largest annual event in Sydney, after NYE fireworks and Vivid.
