Austrian MEP: I want the Polish citizens to receive EU funds. But at the moment it’s not possible

The EU is acting on behalf and in the interest of the citizens of Poland. It’s not about conflict of the institutions, but about citizenship of the EU. Rule of law has to be provided to every citizen. I’m happy that the European Commission decided to freeze the EU fundings for the Polish government, says in an interview with EURACTIV Poland Lukas Mandl, Austrian MEP from the European People’s Party (EPP). 💬It’s up to the Polish people to vote for the candidates of their choice but they must be given the opportunity to vote freely in an environment without any doubts on the rule of law.
