Authentically Connecting Your Work to Your Faith with Jordan Raynor

The thought, “Does this work even matter,” has crossed all of our minds at some point. Have you ever found yourself scrolling and thinking, “oh my gosh, I have to do more!” thinking that the work you’re involved in isn’t quite important enough, isn’t doing enough, or changing enough in our world in some way? It’s an easy rabbit hole to fall down, which is why this conversation with Jordan was so impactful.   Jordan shared how, at one point, he considered opening up a church. As a tech entrepreneur, this was quite a career leap. It took a good friend lovingly (but also pretty directly!) telling him that might not be the right path before he realized that he could bring his faith into his current work. That his current work was a space where he could influence change.   We talked about how the hard work really starts with knowing yourself and your values. How finding out what you’re really good at and what your purpose in life is requires a community, you can’t answer that question alone!
